This rose was bred by David Austin, a Shropshire lad himself, and introduced in 1996. It was named after the wistful late Victorian poetic work by A. E. Housman - not a Shropshire lad! It is said he had never visited the landscape he visited at the time he wrote about it. However, the mood of the poem is echoed perfectly by this beautiful, fragrant, peachy pink bloom.</image:caption></image:image><image:image><image:loc>https://staffordshirebred.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/100_2969.jpg</image:loc><image:title>100_2969</image:title></image:image><lastmod>2018-04-09T09:22:53+00:00</lastmod><changefreq>monthly</changefreq></url><url><loc>https://staffordshirebred.com/2017/10/18/pearls-for-tears/</loc><image:image><image:loc>https://staffordshirebred.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/img_1578.jpg</image:loc><image:title>IMG_1578</image:title><image:caption>Llanfaglan Church, near Caernarfon, is Lord Snowdon's final resting place.
